BIBLIOGRAPHIC MATERIAL ACQUISITION PLANS

Our Approval Plans service covers all materials published in Argentina, both commercial and publications from university publishers, NGOs, books and magazines from government offices, valuable author's editions, independent publishers, books from public and private research agencies, among others. .
The purpose of this service is to provide bibliographic news following a collection development profile previously agreed with the librarian. In the same way, titles that do not fit into the Approval Plan or whose inclusion is doubtful, will be - if requested by the librarian - recommended by email to decide whether to send them to the library. Among these recommendations are books that do not fit the profile due to their place of publication, date of publication, type of content, price or other reasons, but that we consider important to enrich the bibliographic heritage of our clients.
Thus, we become a personal assistant for libraries, facilitating and complementing the work of the librarian in the development of collections and the acquisition of excellent bibliographic material.
Our selection methodology, based on an exhaustive knowledge of each published title, allows us to maximize the effectiveness of our work, managing to cover the best publications for each purchase profile, no matter what the library's budget is. for Our internal system is designed to prevent duplication of firm orders and Approval Plan shipments. Possible duplications are notified to the librarian by email.
As with firm orders, shipments are made by DHL - chosen for its efficiency and speed - and are accompanied by duplicate invoices and, if the customer requires, MARC records to accompany each shipment. In addition, a statement is sent where the amount of the books sent and the remaining balance are recorded.
